Transitions...

Next month, our family will relocate to Ogden, UT.  I have accepted a position there at Washington Heights Baptist Church as the senior high school pastor.  I am very excited about the opportunity, but we are very nervous as well.  Most of our immediate family lives within 45 minutes of our home in Denver.  I'm not sure if this seems a little melodramatic, but I can't help but feel just a little bit like Abraham.  Sure, we're only moving a seven-hour drive away, and in terms of distance, it's a far shorter distance than Abraham and Sarah moved.  Still, we are leaving our home--Colorado--that Jennifer and I have known for so long.  The benefit is the sense of call that we have, as well as the wonderful friends we have already made there.  It's exciting to be going into an unfamiliar situation, knowing that God is in charge.  It will be fun to see where he leads as we move to Ogden!
