The Bible. No matter how amazing a curriculum might be, there's no match for simply getting teenagers into the Bible. At the end of the day, it's our job to teach teenagers from the Bible, point them to Jesus, and let the Holy Spirit do his work.
Unconditional Love. Every talent, spiritual gift, and ministry technique means nothing without love (1 Corinthians 13:1-4). Teenagers need to be loved, and no ministry event or strategy can replace that.
Surrender to God. No matter how "good" of youth workers we think we might be, the only way to do ministry is to first surrender ourselves to God. Without a growing relationship with Jesus where we rely wholly upon him, we will eventually burn out in ministry and in our personal lives. No ministry "success" can take the place of our own relationship with Jesus.
